Strategic advice

I help you decide where AI will really be useful in your company, with which tools, which rules and what budget. You leave with a roadmap, step by step.

Who is it for?

Owners and managers of small businesses and SMEs, but also of larger companies, associations and local authorities. You do not use AI yet, or your employees already use it, each in their own way, with their personal accounts. Either way, you want to know what is really worthwhile, and at what cost.

The assessment adapts to your size. In a company of five people, it takes a few conversations; in a company with several departments, it requires more interviews.

Why choose one tool for the whole company?

Because your employees will not wait. Without an official tool that is useful to them, they will carry on with their personal accounts, and company data will end up in tools without a contract. A chosen tool has a cost, often a licence per person. But it puts you on a sound footing: a contract, protected data, clear rules. And it only pays off if it is really used: choosing the applications matters more than choosing the tool.

How does it work?

Two options to choose from:

  • The assessment (steps 1 to 5): you know where AI will be useful to you, with which tools and what budget, and you have the roadmap to put it in place.
  • Full support (steps 1 to 7): the assessment, then the implementation, with me.

You can also start with the assessment and move on to full support afterwards.

The assessment

  1. A 20-minute call to understand your situation. It is free and there is no obligation.
  2. I talk with you and, depending on the size of the company, with your employees or the heads of each department. Where there are any, I also meet your DPO and your IT manager or IT provider. We talk about the tasks, what takes time, and the tools already in use, including those the company did not choose.
  3. I identify the useful applications and rank them: what they can save, the effort they require, the risks to security and to your data.
  4. I compare the solutions suited to your case: the American tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot), the French tool Mistral, and open-source models, which can be installed on your own servers. For each one: price, contract, hosting location, applicable law, risk of data leaks.
  5. I hand over and present the roadmap: which tools, for whom, in what order, with which rules, which training, what budget, and the indicators to measure results.

With full support, in addition

  1. We put the tools in place with your team, or in a first department if the company has several: setup, usage rules, getting started.
  2. About three months later, we review progress against the indicators chosen at the start: who uses the tools, for what, what they save, what needs adjusting.

To train your teams, I also offer courses: Getting started with AI at work for everyone, and Governing AI in your company for executives.

What do you get?

With the assessment:

  • the list of useful applications, in order of priority;
  • the comparison of the solutions suited to your case;
  • the roadmap, with the budget and the indicators;
  • the legal points to deal with, and those to submit to a lawyer.

With full support, in addition:

  • the tools set up for your team;
  • the usage rules for the team;
  • hands-on training with the tools for the team;
  • the follow-up review, about three months later.

Duration, location and price

  • Duration: depends on the size of the company and the number of people involved.
  • Location: on your premises in Guadeloupe; depending on the project, in Martinique, French Guiana, Saint Martin and Saint Barthélemy. Elsewhere, online by video conference.
  • Price: from €650 excl. VAT (one day), depending on the size of the company and the option chosen. After the 20-minute call, I send you a short questionnaire; the quote is based on your answers. For an organisation with several departments, I first suggest a scoping meeting, which is invoiced and deducted from the price of the assignment if you go ahead.

What next?

If the roadmap shows obligations to deal with, see EU AI Act compliance and GDPR compliance. For an in-house legal department or a law firm, see also Legal Engineering.

Frequently asked questions

Where should we start if we do not use AI yet?

With your tasks, not with the tool. Identify the ones that come up often and take time without requiring real thought: routine drafting, summaries, meeting notes. That is where AI is most useful at the start.

My company is small: is an assessment worth it?

Yes. In a small team, every hour saved counts, and a data leak is just as costly as in a large company. The assessment is shorter, and the roadmap takes your budget into account: sometimes two or three licences are enough.

American, French or open-source tool: which one should we choose?

It depends on your needs, your data and your budget. American tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) remain subject to US law, even when your data is hosted in Europe; Mistral, a French company, hosts your data in the European Union by default; an open-source model installed on your own systems keeps everything in-house, but requires an IT specialist. I compare these options for your case, including the contract and settings, before recommending a plan.

Can we know in advance what AI will save us?

Not with certainty. I estimate the gain of each application from your own figures: the time spent today, how often, the number of people involved. Then we check it at the follow-up review, using the indicators chosen at the start.

How is this different from AI Act compliance?

AI Act compliance answers the question: what does the regulation require for the uses you have? Strategic advice answers another one: which uses of AI are worthwhile in your company, and how to put them in place. The two assignments complement each other.

Do we need a technical project or a developer?

Usually not: off-the-shelf tools, well chosen and well set up, are enough. If your needs call for custom development, or for installing an open-source model on your servers, I plan it in the roadmap and design it with an engineer I work with.

Where to start?

The simplest way is to talk it through. The call takes 20 minutes, is free and there is no obligation.
